We offer a safe and stimulating environment open to all families.

All our activities take place in a bright, cheerful room where it’s fun to play and socialize! Our facilities are clean and warm, and provide a variety of toys for different age groups. Children receive a nutritious snack daily.

We provide space for children to learn, play, laugh, be curious, make friends and engage with others. Children build their sense of belonging and capacity for expression, and explore and engage with the world around them. At the same time, parents/caregivers foster deeper relationships with their children through play.

Parents/caregivers also have the opportunity to connect with others in their community, joining in conversations and sharing information about child development, parenting and nutrition. Many of our families visit the centre several times a week, and parents tell our staff that they see their children developing improved social skills, independence and language skills.

Activities and outcomes

EarlyON Child and Family Centres are located across Ontario, and offer families with children from birth up to six years old a drop-in support space as well as a range of services, from activities to advice to connection with families in the area. Read more about the EarlyON programme by clicking HERE.

Our activities and programmes are available daily on a drop-in basis. Families can stay for as long as they like, to participate in activities that support children’s growth and development. For example, we offer a daily Circle Time where we read stories, sing songs and recite rhymes.

We also offer children’s groups, including our “kindergarten readiness” class, mom-and-baby workshops and parenting workshops. We plan fun activities and potluck meals. We offer volunteer opportunities, visits with a public health nurse, and daily nutritious snacks.

EarlyON Child and Family Centre programming aims to provide family support, education and resources, all in a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment. We help to increase a sense of community and reduce social isolation among parents/caregivers. Our programme reflects the view of children, parents and caregivers as competent, capable, curious and rich in potential and experience.
